NxDigital Redemption Crossover Ch.16
Rune’s crimson, rage filled eyes glared at the dented dark Knightmon as he rose to protect his tamer Matt. Rune could sense that her prey was weakening, just as a wolf can sense which member of a herd of deer are the most infirm. Even though her mind had gone feral, she could still sense her deep connection to her tamer from which she drew her power.
Meanwhile, Thorn continued to watch silently from behind, a cruel smile forming at the edges of his lips as he tasted the dark power which his Digimon possessed for the first time. For too long Thorn had conformed to the expectations of his parents and superiors, but as Rune’s Digital energy raced through his veins, he tasted freedom. Before, he had been an underappreciated genius, enslaved to the will of others, but now, Thorn finally had the upperhand, and it was going straight to his head.

The Fall of Nyx, (The origins of Rune)
“So this is how I fall, betrayed by my third in command? It almost seems pathetic.” contemplated the Digital Goddess of Darkness, Nyx from her ornately decorated throne deep within her mountain fortress. The Spire, one of the two citadels of the Digital World and the capital for the entire Dark Area, Wastelands, and Ashland alike was a sanctuary for many. But as the Celestial army of Olympus along with her turn-coat general and his band of traitors warred at her doorstep, Nyx could feel her reign coming to an end.
“Highness! The Sapphire gate has fallen! What are your orders?!” panted one of Nyx’s elite Devimon Legionaries as he stumbled into the throne room before remembering to bow at the feet of his Goddess.

Slowly, the beams began circling the earth beneath them, as if they were the head of a massive mining-drill striking the ground, melting and scorching everything within there path. Soon, the beams began to close-in on one another, shrinking the area of effect until they were all aligned into one, brilliant beam of energy.
And then came the knell; a thundering, earth shaking pulse of energy suddenly slammed itself upon the earth, exactly where the unified beams of light had come to a standstill. The whole of that area, turned to ash. Ground zero, effectively turned to smoldering glass.
Almost anything and everything organic within the blast zone, by definition, was now vaporized, with everything electronic or digital being disab
CnC: Tiberium Night. Prologue Part 2 - Deception“A Digi-what?!” the captain questioned dumbfounded, the creature approaching ever closer step by step.
“Wrong question, sir.” the lieutenant replied smoothly, glaring at the abomination in a challenging manner. “What this thing is, however, was Kane's personal assassin. “TC”-Volkamon; the Brotherhoods living weapon...”
And that he was; a black and glistering-green furred, bipedal-lupine monstrosity. From his shoulders grew jagged spines of Tiberium crystals, pulsing a faint glow with every laboured breath that it took. It’s claws and teeth were crystal to, dripping with liquid venom. From around it's neck, two torn and worn strips of red cloth fluttered in the wind, most-likely the remains of a time-tested scarf.
Both forearm were covered by a pair of red battle-gloves, ending with three fingered hand-like paws, the Nod symbol engraved on both. Seemingly out of place, a belt could be found around it's wais
